Great musician Shiva Shankar remembered again

People gathered at the Academy Hall (Kamaladi) yesterday to honor a legend. A wonderful singer, a talented actor, and a great musician, Shiva Shankar is truly the architect of Nepali music. “Nepali Sangeet Ka Abhiyanta”, a book which covers the totality of the life of such a great musician, is released on November15, Wednesday.

The book is beautifully compiled with Shiva Shankar’s journey of life, his contributions and creativity. It is occupied with his pictures, achievements, awards, music archives, notations, materials published in different magazines, newspapers and the words of different music and media personalities. It is an attempt to highlight and record the versatile personality and his works.

“Nepali Sangeet ka Abhiyanta” is published by his sons Gauri Shankar, Ravi Shankar and Shasi Shankar Manandhar. The editor of this book is Bulu Mukarung.

It is not only a book but a record that was essential to be kept so that this legend can live forever with his creations.

They say people die but those who live even after dieing, create a history. Shiva Shankar is the personality who created the milestone in the history of Nepali music.

This book is dedicated to the departed soul hoping that the praising will be heard by the soul in heaven.
